An 11-year-old boy riding an electric scooter died on Monday afternoon after colliding with a combine harvester in the Łowicz County village of Sypień, despite extensive resuscitation efforts.

Details of the Incident in Sypień
The tragic accident occurred on Monday, August 3, at around 12:20 PM in the village of Sypień, located within the Łowicz County of the Łódź Voivodeship.
According to preliminary findings provided by senior commissioner Edyta Machnik, spokesperson for the Provincial Police Headquarters in Łódź, the 11-year-old boy riding an electric scooter rode into the path of a combine harvester for reasons yet to be determined.
Emergency Response and Failed Resuscitation
Emergency services were dispatched to the scene, including several units of the local fire department and an Air Ambulance helicopter.
Despite resuscitation efforts conducted at the scene, the life of the 11-year-old child could not be saved.
Ongoing Investigation and Driver Status
Police officers, operating under the supervision of a prosecutor, are currently working at the scene of the tragedy to clarify the exact circumstances and causes of the accident.
Preliminary findings indicate that the 48-year-old man driving the combine harvester was sober at the time of the collision.
