14th Pension 2026: ZUS to Pay 1978.49 PLN Gross
In September, the 14th pension of up to 1978.49 PLN gross will hit seniors’ accounts. Individuals facing bailiff enforcement often wonder if these funds can be seized, as current regulations dictate who receives the full amount and when deductions apply.
The 2026 fourteenth pension will be granted automatically to individuals who have the right to specific retirement and disability benefits on the last day of the month preceding the payout. Seniors do not need to submit any application, with the full amount equaling the lowest pension in force following the March indexation.
Net Amount After Tax and Health Insurance Deductions
Health insurance contributions and personal income tax advance payments will be deducted from the 14th pension, resulting in a net payout of 1800.43 PLN. No other deductions or enforcements will be made from this additional benefit.
Individuals whose basic pension or disability benefit does not exceed 2900 PLN gross per month will receive the full amount. For higher benefits, the “one-for-one” rule applies, meaning every PLN exceeding the 2900 PLN threshold reduces the fourteenth pension by an equal amount down to a 50 PLN gross minimum threshold.
Bailiff Enforcement Rules and Pension Seizures
While the 14th pension is fully protected from bailiff execution, basic pensions can be subject to deductions based on debt types and statutory limits. For ordinary debts such as unpaid loans or utility bills, bailiffs can seize a maximum of 25 percent of the gross pension.
Alimony arrears receive priority treatment under regulations, allowing bailiffs to deduct up to 60 percent of the pension, leaving the pensioner with 40 percent of the benefit.
Procedures for Unlawful Seizures and Multiple Benefits
If an additional benefit is mistakenly seized despite legal protections, seniors should immediately contact the acting bailiff and the Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) since the exemption is absolute. Individuals receiving multiple retirement or disability benefits will still receive only one 14th pension disbursed by either ZUS or KRUS depending on the benefit structure.
