German police arrested a 53-year-old Polish citizen driving a tractor erratically on the A19 motorway in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania with a blood alcohol level of 2.36 permiles.

Dangerous Driving on the A19 Motorway

A dangerous incident occurred on the A19 motorway near Glasewitz in the federal state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. Around 11:00 PM on Tuesday, August 4, German police received a report regarding a tractor driver weaving across lanes and posing a threat to other road users.

Police Intercept the Intoxicated Driver

A police patrol was immediately dispatched to the scene. Officers stopped the tractor driver, who was traveling at a speed of approximately 40 kilometers per hour. As it turned out, a 53-letni Polish citizen was behind the wheel.

High Blood Alcohol Level and No License

A breathalyzer test revealed the probable cause for driving in a slalom along the motorway. The detained driver had 2.36 permiles of alcohol in his system. Furthermore, it turned out that the man did not possess a driver’s license for a tractor.

Facing Multiple Charges

The Polish driver was detained. The 53-year-old will face charges for driving under the influence of alcohol and operating a vehicle without the required qualifications.
