Born in 1971 and elected to the Senate from Częstochowa since 2015, PiS senator Ryszard Majer has officially joined the Rozwój Plus association.

Born in 1971, Majer is a senator from Częstochowa who was first elected to the Senate in 2015 from the Law and Justice list, successfully running for re-election in 2019 and 2023.

Senator Ryszard Majer has joined the Rozwój Plus association.

Between 2006 and 2009, he served as a councillor and vice-chairman of the Silesian Regional Assembly of the 3rd term, and from 2009 to 2010 as the deputy mayor of Częstochowa. In 2014, at the Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw, he obtained a doctoral degree in social sciences in the field of political science.

The politician was welcomed to the new club by MP and former Deputy Minister of Development Olga Semeniuk-Patkowska. “Welcome aboard Senator Ryszard Majer,” Semeniuk-Patkowska wrote on the X portal, posting a graphic featuring a statement by the politician.

“This is not a parting, but an expansion of the field. I want to reach where we have reached with difficulty so far. I am taking the best with me and trying to activate the inactive. I leave the door open. Good relations and cooperation are more important than who stands under which banner at a given moment,” the senator conveyed.

Shifts in Senate and Morawiecki’s Activities

Majer is the second senator to join the Rozwój Plus club. Earlier, senator Włodzimierz Biernacki did so. Following the departure of the two politicians, 31 senators remain in the Law and Justice parliamentary club—11 fewer than in the largest Civic Coalition club.

Morawiecki is looking for voters in Jagodno.

The Rozwój Plus club also has 40 MPs. Mateusz Morawiecki, together with his association, organized a barbecue in Warsaw’s Praga Północ in July, where they presented their first postulates, including those concerning demography and migration. On Friday, August 7, he went with pizza to Wrocław’s Jagodno, which gained recognition thanks to the queue of people who waited until 3 AM in 2023 to vote at the local polling station. They were supported by having pizza delivered, among other things, which Morawiecki tried to use on Friday.

According to an IBRiS poll for Polsat News, 7.8 percent of respondents intend to cast their vote for Mateusz Morawiecki’s new formation.
