Summer warmth and returning heatwaves
The coming week will feature pleasant summer temperatures in the first half and high heat in the second. Temperatures will generally range from 24 to 28°C.
Peak temperatures later in the week
On Thursday, the west may see the first heatwave of the week, with maximum temperatures reaching 30-32°C, while other areas will mostly see 25-28°C. Current forecasts point to a full-blown summer explosion over the weekend, with western regions hitting 32-35°C on Saturday and temperatures soaring to 34-36°C on Sunday.
Cloud cover and sunshine distribution
Slightly more clouds will appear on Wednesday, mainly in the south and west, with minor passing showers in the northeast. Thursday and Friday will bring significantly less cloud cover, keeping skies mostly sunny across the country until a gradual increase in clouds arrives Sunday morning due to an atmospheric front.
Rainfall expected on Sunday
Rain is not forecasted until Sunday, when an atmospheric front enters the country from Germany. Precipitation will initially hit the west near Szczecin and Gorzów Wielkopolski before moving deeper inland over time.
