Karol Nawrocki held two private meetings with Donald Trump overnight between June 14 and 15, following the Polish president’s arrival in the United States and the UFC gala held on Sunday.

Marcin Wrona, a correspondent for TVN’s “Fakty,” reported that Karol Nawrocki met with Donald Trump twice during the night from Sunday to Monday, June 14–15. The Polish president had arrived in the United States on Saturday evening.

Focus on Military Presence and Strategic Ties

Prior to his meetings with Trump, Nawrocki emphasized that Poland’s strategic goal is the permanent stationing of American troops on its soil. He noted that the U.S. president does not need to be persuaded regarding the necessity of an increased military presence in Poland.

Nawrocki on Personal and Bilateral Relations

Nawrocki stated that Donald Trump highly values their personal relationship, as well as the Polish nation, history, and military contributions to NATO missions. However, Nawrocki also highlighted concerns regarding what he described as an anti-American narrative among various influential politicians in Poland, including members of the current government.

Security and Economic Consultations

Ahead of the visit, Marcin Przydacz, head of the Presidential Office for International Policy, confirmed that discussions in Washington would center on fundamental security issues, bilateral relations, and cooperation in the energy and economic sectors. Przydacz reaffirmed that the presence of American soldiers remains the most critical aspect of the diplomatic dialogue.
