Warsaw Prepares for 30th Wianki nad Wisłą Summer Festival

Warsaw will host the 30th edition of the Wianki nad Wisłą festival on June 20, 2026, at the Multimedia Fountain Park, featuring a full day of cultural festivities and live music.

Summer Inauguration and Tradition

On Saturday, June 20, 2026, the Multimedia Fountain Park in Warsaw will host Wianki nad Wisłą. This free event, held for the 30th time, merges the Slavic Kupala Night traditions with a family picnic and evening concerts under the theme “Warsaw Plays! Music, Love, Dreams.”

Daytime Festivities and Slavic Heritage

The program begins at 1:00 PM with the St. John’s Picnic, offering folk performances, workshops, and traditional craft stands. A dedicated Slavic Village will feature pottery and culinary workshops, along with street theater performances and traditional games such as sack fighting and knightly duels.

Floral Traditions and Sustainability

Participants can weave their own flower wreaths, join a beauty competition, or cast them into the Vistula River. A professional team will also construct a four-meter-wide ceremonial wreath to be launched on the water.

Evening Concert Series

Live performances kick off at 7:30 PM with CHRUST and Czesław Mozil, followed by O.S.T.R. at 8:40 PM. A televised concert featuring major Polish artists, including BAJM, NOSOWSKA, and Margaret, begins at 9:45 PM, followed by a DJ set by Satori at 11:40 PM.

Logistics and Accessibility

The event is designed for accessibility, featuring a designated zone with platforms for wheelchair users and induction loops for the hearing impaired. Due to the festival, a section of the Wisłostrada will be closed from 4:00 PM on June 20 until 4:00 AM on June 21.
