Massive Drone Strikes Target Strategic Infrastructure Across Crimea

Ukrainian drones launched a coordinated overnight operation from June 19 to 20, striking power plants, gas facilities, fuel depots, and military manufacturing sites to disrupt vital Russian logistics networks.

Attacks on Energy and Military Infrastructure

The overnight strikes targeted the Tavricheskaya thermal power plant near Simferopol and two natural gas pumping stations, with footage of the damage circulating on social media. Additional targets included an underground gas storage facility in western Crimea and fuel depots near Bakhchisaray, where fires were reported.

Military assets were also hit, including the Crimean Titan arms factory in Armyansk and a bridge in Genichesk, a critical link connecting the Crimean Peninsula to the Ukrainian mainland.

Escalation in Logistics Disruption

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed that air strikes were carried out against railway bridges on the occupied peninsula. These actions are part of a broader intensification of efforts to paralyze Russian supply lines in Crimea and the southern parts of the Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions.

Advanced Drone Capabilities

According to reports from CNN, a new generation of Ukrainian medium-range drones is successfully disrupting Russian military supply chains. Analysts from Geoconfirmed and researcher Clément Molin reviewed approximately 150 instances of strikes against tankers and supply vehicles.

Ukrainian Uncrewed Systems Forces stated that the number of medium-range strike missions has increased 28-fold over the past year, aiming to isolate Crimea from main supply routes and complicate logistics across the entire front line.
