Serious Accident in Bielany: Surron Rider Collides with Car and Van

A serious accident occurred on Conrada Street in Warsaw’s Bielany district around 9:40 a.m. when a motorcyclist riding a Surron collided with a car and ended up pinned under a van.

Collision During Overtaking

Preliminary findings indicate that a woman driving a Skoda was performing a left turn at the same time a young man on a Surron motorcycle began overtaking a line of vehicles. This maneuver led to a collision between the motorcycle and the Skoda.

Rescue Operation and Injuries

The impact was severe enough to throw the motorcyclist under a parked Opel van. Firefighters successfully extricated the unconscious victim, who had sustained serious injuries, and transferred him to medical responders. He was subsequently transported to a hospital.

Investigation Underway

Two fire brigade units, medical responders, and police intervened at the scene. Officers from the Road Traffic Department are currently investigating the circumstances of the crash, specifically verifying the vehicle’s road-legal status and the rider’s licensing requirements.

Alternating traffic was implemented on Conrada Street while emergency crews worked. Police continue to warn that overtaking near intersections, pedestrian crossings, and intersections with limited visibility frequently leads to tragic consequences.
