Details of the Incident
The Janów Lubelski County Police received a report regarding the accident shortly after 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. According to authorities, the two children were playing in a backyard when a “Mauser” style water tank overturned and trapped them underneath.
Rescue and Medical Response
One boy managed to free himself, while the second child was rescued by his mother and grandmother. Both boys sustained injuries and were subsequently transported to a hospital in Lublin.
Ongoing Investigation and Safety Warnings
While local media outlet RMF FM reports that police have not disclosed the medical status of the children, authorities are using the incident to issue a warning to parents. Police spokesperson Faustyna Łazur urged adults to educate children on the dangers posed by yard equipment, machinery, and water storage containers.
