Coordinated Strikes on Strategic Energy Assets

Ukrainian forces conducted overnight strikes against the Poltavskaya fuel depot in the Krasnodar region, located approximately 300 kilometers from the front line. The following morning, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) targeted the Bashneft-Ufaneftekhim and Bashneft-Novoil refineries in Ufa, situated 1,500 kilometers away.

Destruction of Core Refinery Infrastructure

The SBU confirmed that atmospheric-vacuum distillation units, described as the heart of the Ufa refineries, were set ablaze. These facilities are responsible for the initial processing of crude oil, and visual reports indicate at least two separate fires at the production sites.

Escalating Economic Costs of the War

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine is executing a systematic plan to strike deep within Russian territory. The SBU emphasized that these long-range operations demonstrate that no facility is secure, forcing Russia to face the mounting economic costs of its energy infrastructure being systematically degraded.

Power Grid Failure in Sevastopol

Heavy explosions were reported throughout the night of June 24 in Crimea, primarily targeting the Balaklava power plant in Sevastopol. Russian-installed Governor Mikhail Razvozhayev reported that the massive drone attack resulted in a total power blackout across the city.
