Fatal Plane Crash at Warsaw’s Bemowo Airport

A Cirrus SR22T aircraft crashed Thursday afternoon near Warsaw’s Bemowo airport, killing both people on board and injuring two individuals on the ground during a driving test session.

The Incident

On Thursday afternoon, June 25, a light aircraft crashed near the Bemowo airport in Warsaw. Both occupants of the plane perished in the accident, while two people on the ground sustained injuries.

Eyewitnesses reported a loud impact, noting that the plane struck a structure with a metal roof. The aircraft was identified as a Cirrus SR22T SP-GOS, a single-engine model typically used for private business and leisure aviation.

Footage of the Crash

The aircraft went down just meters away from a driving school’s maneuvering track, where practical examinations were underway. A dashcam inside a vehicle owned by the Lauto driving school captured the moment of impact.

The recording shows the plane descending at high speed before striking the ground and erupting into flames, followed by a plume of smoke. According to the school, the accident occurred while the plane was approaching the runway, approximately 500 meters from the landing strip.
