A serious vehicle collision between a Mercedes and a Toyota at the intersection of Aleja Solidarności and Okopowa on June 26 left three people injured and required immediate medical transport.

Incident Details and Emergency Response

On June 26, at 13:09, a collision occurred at the Kercelak Roundabout in Warsaw involving a Mercedes and a ride-sharing Toyota. The impact was severe enough to push the Toyota into nearby road infrastructure.

Emergency services, including fire crews, medical teams, a motorcycle paramedic, police, and tram traffic supervisors, were deployed to the scene to provide aid and manage the aftermath.

Preliminary Findings on Collision Causes

Initial investigations suggest the driver of the Mercedes was traveling along Aleja Solidarności from Młynarska and attempted a left turn. During this maneuver, the Mercedes failed to yield to the oncoming Toyota, which was traveling toward Prymasa Tysiąclecia, resulting in the collision.

Casualties and Traffic Disruptions

Three individuals—the passenger of the Mercedes and both the driver and passenger of the Toyota—required medical assistance. All three were transported to hospitals following an initial assessment at the scene.

The collision caused significant traffic congestion, blocking travel on Okopowa toward Rondo Radosława and restricting two lanes of Aleja Solidarności heading toward Prymasa Tysiąclecia while rescue operations were underway.
