Investigation Opened Into Reported Poisoning of President Karol Nawrocki

Prosecutors in Świdnica have launched a preliminary investigation following reports that President Karol Nawrocki suffered a sudden, severe illness and loss of consciousness during his 2025 election campaign.

Unexplained Health Crisis

In his recent book, “Where did Karol Nawrocki come from,” Professor Andrzej Nowak details an incident from May 15, 2025, during which the then-candidate experienced a sudden decline in health and temporary loss of consciousness in Ząbkowice Śląskie and Dzierżoniów. There is speculation that the illness may have been caused by the administration of dangerous substances.

Government Questions Response Protocols

Deputy Minister Czesław Mroczek expressed concerns that no security measures were enacted despite the severity of the incident, describing the matter as highly controversial. He stated that the prosecution must clarify why no action was taken and who was present at the time.

Delayed Reporting of Potential Crimes

Jacek Dobrzyński, spokesperson for the minister coordinating special services, expressed surprise that these events were not reported to authorities until over a year later. He emphasized that any suspicion of an attempt on one’s life should be reported to the police immediately.

Preliminary Legal Proceedings

The District Prosecutor’s Office in Świdnica has initiated preliminary proceedings to determine if the President was subjected to a direct threat to his life or health during the 2025 campaign. Prosecutors are currently working to ascertain whether the incident was the result of the actions of third parties.
