Deputy Defense Minister Magdalena Sobkowiak-Czarnecka Named State Resilience Commissioner

Deputy Minister of National Defense Magdalena Sobkowiak-Czarnecka has been appointed as the government’s plenipotentiary for strengthening state resilience, transitioning from her previous role overseeing the SAFE instrument implementation.

Government Reshuffle and New Appointment

On Tuesday, the Council of Ministers formally established the new position of plenipotentiary for state resilience. Simultaneously, the government approved an ordinance to abolish the role of plenipotentiary for the SAFE program, which Sobkowiak-Czarnecka previously held.

Government spokesperson Adam Szłapka announced the appointment, noting that the shift marks a transition to a new phase of state objectives. Szłapka commended the minister, stating that she consistently delivers all assigned projects with perfection.

Scope of State Resilience Duties

The newly established office is tasked with coordinating actions among government administration bodies and subordinate units to bolster national resilience. Responsibilities include the support of communication, information, and promotional activities.

Furthermore, the plenipotentiary will lead initiatives aimed at countering disinformation and fostering public support for defense education. This centralizes the government’s efforts in managing administrative responses to national security challenges.
