Following a threatening phone call made to the Chancellery of the President on July 2, police investigators successfully identified the 77-year-old suspect within hours of the incident.
Threat Against the Chancellery
The information regarding the incident was first reported by Radio ZET journalist Mariusz Gierszewski. According to reports, a 77-year-old man called the Chancellery of the President on Thursday, July 2, and directed threats toward Karol Nawrocki. Police identified the man shortly after the call was placed.
Previous Incidents and Arrests
This event marks another instance of threats directed at the official. On June 26, police in Czerwieńsk detained a 36-year-old man who claimed in an online video to possess weapons intended for killing “dictators,” explicitly naming Karol Nawrocki.
Social Media Threats
In November of last year, Warsaw police arrested a 19-year-old after a threatening comment appeared on the X platform. During a football match, a user replied to a photograph of Karol Nawrocki with the message “see you, Karol” accompanied by an image of a person holding a weapon-like object.
