Four-Member Family Found Dead in Skawina Apartment

Emergency services discovered the bodies of four people, including a newborn, inside an apartment in Skawina, Lesser Poland, on Friday afternoon after being alerted by a concerned relative.

Forced Entry by Firefighters

On Friday, July 3, shortly after 3:00 PM, firefighters were dispatched to a second-floor apartment in Skawina to conduct a forced entry. Rescuers were required to use hydraulic tools to gain access to the premises.

Discovery of the Victims

Inside the residence, emergency services located the bodies of four individuals: two women, a man, and a newborn baby who had been born eight days prior. The scene was secured for police and prosecutorial investigation.

Police Report on the Incident

Sub-inspector Katarzyna Cisło, spokesperson for the Krakow Police, stated that authorities were alerted by the infant’s grandfather, who was unable to contact or reach his daughter and son-in-law. The victims included the married couple, their newborn child, and the grandmother, who had been assisting with childcare.

Ongoing Investigation

Police and prosecutors are currently on-site conducting an investigation. Authorities have emphasized that the inquiry is in its very early stages and it is too soon to determine the cause of the tragedy.
