Police Arrest 77-Year-Old Man for Issuing Death Threats Against Polish President

Following a phone call to the Presidential Chancellery on June 2, police from Warsaw’s Praga-Północ district arrested a 77-year-old resident of Marki on charges of issuing criminal threats against the President.

The Investigation and Arrest

On June 2 at approximately 2:15 p.m., a man contacted the Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland and issued criminal threats. Authorities quickly identified the origin of the call and the owner of the phone number.

Detectives from the Warsaw VI District Police Command traced the caller to an address in Marki. Acting on this intelligence, officers executed an arrest late in the evening on June 2, taking the 77-year-old suspect into custody.

Legal Proceedings

Following his arrest, the suspect was transported to the police station on Jagiellońska Street. The collected evidence and case files have been transferred to the District Prosecutor’s Office in Wołomin.

The detainee is scheduled to be brought before the prosecutor today for further questioning and formal procedural steps.
