Husband Arrested Following Death of 64-Year-Old Woman in Borków

Police arrested a 65-year-old man in a forest near Kielce on Sunday morning following a two-day search linked to the discovery of his wife’s body in their Borków home.

The Discovery and Investigation

On Friday, July 3, emergency services were called to a residence in Borków, located 15 kilometers from Kielce, after a report of an unresponsive 64-year-old woman. Upon arrival, medical personnel confirmed her death.

Investigators, working under the supervision of a prosecutor, have launched an inquiry into the circumstances of the death. Preliminary findings suggest that a third party may have been involved.

Manhunt for the Victim’s Husband

Following the discovery, police initiated a search for the woman’s 65-year-old husband, believed to be the last person to see her alive. The operation involved over 100 officers, a police helicopter, and extensive searches of local forested areas.

The man was eventually located in a forest complex on Sunday, July 5, shortly after 6 a.m. Officers noted he appeared visibly weak and surprised by their presence, though he offered no resistance during the arrest.

Status and Background

Following a medical evaluation, the man was transported to a hospital under police escort. Authorities are awaiting an improvement in his health condition before proceeding with necessary legal actions.

According to police records, the residence had no prior history of domestic interventions, and the “Blue Card” domestic violence procedure had never been initiated at this address.
