Bosak Calls Out Kosiniak-Kamysz: Deputy PM Accused of Deception Over Patriot Missiles

Following a meeting with President Andrzej Duda, Confederation leader Krzysztof Bosak claimed on Radio ZET that the government systematically excludes the President from transparency regarding military aid to Ukraine.

The Presidential Consultation

Krzysztof Bosak met with Karol Nawrocki on Monday, July 6. The following day, the Deputy Speaker of the Sejm addressed the meeting on Radio ZET’s “Guest of Radio ZET” program, responding to questions regarding whether the President receives government information on transferring Patriot missile systems to Ukraine.

Bosak stated that he was authorized by the President to confirm that the government does not coordinate arms transfers to Ukraine with the head of state, failing to provide full or transparent information on the matter.

Loss of Credibility

The Confederation leader openly questioned the credibility of Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz. Bosak noted that while the Deputy PM denied providing Patriot missiles to Ukraine in March, he confirmed such transfers in July.

Bosak argued that this contradiction makes it clear that the public was intentionally misled, severely damaging the Deputy Prime Minister’s reputation and trustworthiness in his eyes.

Military Aid and Decision-Making

On Monday, Kosiniak-Kamysz outlined various military donations to Ukraine, including missiles for the Patriot system. The Minister of National Defense emphasized that all transfer decisions are preceded by detailed analyses from the General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces, stressing that military input is the decisive factor.

Contradictory Statements

The controversy stems from a March 31 post on X by Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz. In that statement, the minister asserted that Polish Patriot batteries remain dedicated to protecting Polish airspace and the NATO eastern flank, declaring that there were no plans to relocate them.
