Bodies of Young Married Couple Found in Puławy Apartment After Police Check

Polish police discovered the bodies of a 29-year-old woman and a 28-year-old man inside an apartment in Puławy on Friday following a family member’s welfare concern.

Police Response to Family Concern

The tragic discovery took place on Friday, July 24. Police officers went to an apartment building in Puławy, located in the Lublin Voivodeship, following a report from a man who was unable to contact a close family member.

Discovery of the Victims

Firefighters were called to the scene to forcefully open the door to the apartment. Inside, police officers discovered the bodies of a married couple: a 29-year-old woman and a 28-year-old man, according to senior commissioner Ewa Rejn-Kozak from the District Police Headquarters in Puławy.

Ongoing Investigation Into Causes

Preliminary findings by investigators indicate that a suicide followed by a murder took place. Procedural activities are being conducted at the scene with the participation of experts under the supervision of a prosecutor from the District Prosecutor’s Office in Puławy and the District Police Commander to clarify the causes and circumstances of the incident, states Rejn-Kozak.
