Bogucki Dismisses Prime Ministerial Rumors as Non-Existent

Reports on the 2027 Candidacy

According to Kanał Zero journalist Robert Mazurek, reporting on Wednesday, July 22, PiS leader Jarosław Kaczyński personally decided that Zbigniew Bogucki would be the prime ministerial candidate if PiS wins the 2027 elections. Mazurek claimed Bogucki agreed and President Karol Nawrocki blessed the arrangement in an unofficial yet certain piece of information.

Focus on Presidential Duties

When pressed on the reports during the “Gość Wydarzeń” program, Zbigniew Bogucki stated that he is, has been, and will continue to be the head of the Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland, Karol Nawrocki. He added that the designated candidate for prime minister remains Przemysław Czarnek.

Praising Presidential Performance

The head of the KPRP stated that the president and the chancellery are performing good and solid work. He noted that support for President Nawrocki stands at a historically high level of over 55 percent after a year, despite various media attacks and opposition from the ruling camp.

No Such Proposal Exists

Asked whether he would accept a proposal to become prime minister, Bogucki stated he would answer if such an offer were made, emphasizing that no such proposals exist today. He noted that the question should be directed to those writing about such speculations and confirmed through recent talks that Nawrocki made no arrangements in this regard.

Czarnek as the Official Candidate

In early March during a PiS convention in Kraków, party leader Jarosław Kaczyński announced former Education Minister Przemysław Czarnek as the party’s candidate for prime minister in the upcoming parliamentary elections, despite prior media speculation listing Bogucki as a potential candidate.

PiS Spokesperson Responds

PiS spokesperson Rafał Bochenek advised Robert Mazurek to base his activities on facts rather than fantasy stories and hints from ill-intentioned people, stressing that the pushed scenario is not considered. Bochenek reaffirmed that party deputy leader Przemysław Czarnek is the sole candidate who will become Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland upon winning the upcoming elections.
