Debate at Nawrocki’s Anniversary: Stanowski Speaks of a “Manipulation Conspiracy”

During a debate held on Thursday, August 6, before the Presidential Palace, public figures and commentators discussed Karol Nawrocki’s presidency, campaign hurdles, and his emergence as a new center of power.

Ziemkiewicz on Nawrocki and Trzaskowski

The events were organized on Thursday, August 6, in front of the Presidential Palace. During a debate led by Dorota Gawryluk, Rafał Ziemkiewicz stated that during the presidential campaign, he “saw in Karol Nawrocki a man from a housing estate who got nothing and achieved everything in life by himself.”

Ziemkiewicz spoke about Rafał Trzaskowski by saying, “On the opposite side, I saw a candidate of people who got everything on a silver platter.”

Stanowski’s Surprise Over Meeting the President

Krzysztof Stanowski stated that he was surprised when he personally met the president. He noted that Nawrocki fought not only against other candidates during the campaign but also against the media, as he “had to break through a conspiracy of manipulations, of which there were very many.”

Stanowski added, “I myself was surprised when I personally met today’s president, to find that he is a figure completely different from the one I initially believed in.”

Andrzej Nowak on Nawrocki’s Resilience

Andrzej Nowak stated that PiS leader Jarosław Kaczyński’s decision to support a candidate from outside the party in the presidential elections significantly contributed to Nawrocki’s victory, assessing that a top party candidate could not have achieved such a result.

In Nowak’s opinion, Nawrocki’s personal traits, including his “resistance to blows” that he had to face, ultimately decided his win.

A New Center of Power

Stanowski said that due to Nawrocki’s stance after winning the election, the Civic Coalition faced a challenge that no ruling party had ever encountered before. He stated, “A new center of power has appeared, and not someone who is a passive observer and wants to live comfortably in the palace.”

Fulfilling the Main Promise

Andrzej Nowak assessed that Nawrocki kept the most important promise, “the one for which the voters followed him,” explaining it as the promise that it would not be the end and stopping a perspective that terrified many.

The historian added that Poland truly matters most to the president, and Nawrocki does not treat this slogan as an election catchphrase, emphasizing that “he has it in his heart.”
