Don’t Miss the Deadline: How to Claim Your 300 Zloty School Supply Allowance

Parents of students aged 7 to 20—or up to 24 for those with disabilities—can now apply for a 300 zloty “Good Start” benefit to cover school supply costs.

Applying for the Benefit

Although summer has just begun, it is essential not to miss the application period for the 300 zloty school supply subsidy. The benefit is available for every school-aged child meeting the age requirements, regardless of parental income.

Applications must be submitted electronically through the mZUS application, the PUE ZUS portal, banking platforms, or Emp@tia. Applicants must provide bank account details, contact information, and specific data regarding the child’s school attendance.

Eligibility and Requirements

The program supports students between 7 and 20 years of age, or up to 24 for students with a certified disability. Benefits are not provided for students in preschool (zerówka) or for university students.

Adult students who are not dependent on their parents, as well as individuals leaving foster care, may apply for the benefit independently. If a correctly completed application is submitted by the end of August, the funds will be paid out by September 30.

Processing and Communication

ZUS provides all correspondence, including requests for missing documentation or final decisions, via the PUE ZUS inbox. Regardless of the chosen application channel, applicants should monitor this profile for updates. Payments are issued exclusively to the bank account indicated in the application, and the deadline for filing is the end of November.
