Fatal Crash in J贸zef贸w
By court decision, a 26-year-old suspect in a traffic accident in J贸zef贸w and the failure to comply with penal measures will spend the next three months in custody. The incident occurred on Wednesday, July 22, at approximately 7:00 PM in J贸zef贸w, where the driver of a Skoda heading toward So艂tyk贸w struck a pedestrian, resulting in the 75-year-old woman dying at the scene.
Driving Ban and Arrest
Although the driver was sober, a check of police databases revealed that the man was subject to a judicial driving ban. Following the incident, the 26-year-old was placed in police detention facilities.
Protest Charges Filed
On Friday, July 24, the man was brought before the Radom West District Prosecutor’s Office, where he faced charges of causing a traffic accident resulting in the death of a pedestrian, failure to comply with a court-ordered driving ban, and possession of narcotic substances.
Pre-trial Detention Approved
Investigators requested the application of a preventive measure in the form of temporary arrest against the suspect. On the same day, the court granted the motion, ordering the man to spend the next three months in custody.
Ongoing Investigation
The proceedings in this case are being conducted by police officers from the Investigative Department of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Radom under the supervision of the Radom West District Prosecutor’s Office.
