Drunk 16-Year-Old Crashes Uncle’s Car During Joyride

A 16-year-old from Ostrów County crashed his uncle’s Peugeot into a property fence in Przeździecko-Lenarty on Tuesday morning, leaving the vehicle overturned after losing control on a road curve.

The Unauthorized Joyride

On Tuesday (30.06), local police responded to reports of an overturned vehicle in Przeździecko-Lenarty within the Andrzejewo municipality. Officers determined that a 16-year-old resident had taken his uncle’s Peugeot, which had the keys left in the ignition, and decided to go for a drive.

Crash and Investigation

While navigating a curve, the teenager lost control of the vehicle, struck a private property fence, and flipped the car onto its roof. Although the driver fled the scene immediately following the collision, he returned shortly after.

Charges and Sobriety Test

The youth did not require medical attention. A sobriety test revealed he had over 0.7 per mille of alcohol in his system. The Małkinia police station is currently handling the ongoing investigation.
