Drunk Driver Crashes Into Fence in Białołęka

A 30-year-old man was taken into custody in Warsaw’s Białołęka district early Friday after leading police on a chase and crashing his car while under the influence of alcohol.

Police Pursuit and Collision

On Friday, July 10, around 1:20 a.m., Białołęka police officers spotted a Skoda driver committing a traffic offense. After officers initiated a pursuit, the driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a residential fence.

Authorities had previously observed the same driver exiting a gas station on Światowid Street. The crash occurred near 18 Ceramiczna Street, at the intersection of Milenijna and Kaflowa, where the vehicle came to a stop after hitting the barrier.

Intoxication and Legal Consequences

The driver, a 30-year-old resident of Ceramiczna Street, was tested for sobriety at the scene. Initial measurements indicated an alcohol level of approximately 0.7 per mille in his system.

Police confiscated the man’s driving license and had the Skoda towed to a secure lot. While the suspect remains in police custody, formal charges have not yet been filed as officers continue to analyze evidence and investigate the full circumstances of the incident.
