Extradition from the United Kingdom
On Thursday evening, YouTuber Stuart K.-B. was brought from the United Kingdom to Poland and placed in a Warsaw detention center. Piotr Antoni Skiba, the spokesperson for the Warsaw District Prosecutor’s Office, stated that investigative activities involving the suspect will be conducted next week.
Stuart K.-B. had been held in a UK detention facility since October 2023 while awaiting extradition. Although a British court approved the extradition in February of last year, the YouTuber appealed the decision, arguing that the Polish judge who issued the arrest warrant was under political pressure after the former prime minister, Mateusz Morales, announced legal action against those involved in the Pandora Gate scandal. In mid-July, a London court reaffirmed that he could be extradited to Poland.
Connection to the Pandora Gate Scandal
The case is connected to the Pandora Gate affair, which erupted in 2023 when Sylwester Wardęga published material revealing that certain Polish internet creators maintained pedophilic contacts. In October 2023, the District Prosecutor’s Office in Warsaw issued a decision to present charges against Stuart K.-B., who faces up to 12 years in prison under the Polish arrest warrant.
The charges Stuu is set to face involve sexual acts with girls under the age of 15 in the summer of 2015 and in August 2018, as well as supplying minors with alcohol. One of the individuals Stuu allegedly urged to drink alcohol was a victim of the pedophilic act committed in August 2018.
Background of the Internet Creator
The 34-year-old Stuart K.-B. was born and raised in Great Britain and holds both British and Polish citizenship. In 2014, he moved to Poland, where he launched his career as an online creator under the pseudonyms Polski Pingwin and later Stuu, initially publishing Minecraft content followed by lifestyle and comedy videos.
At his peak, his YouTube channel had 4.1 million followers and his Instagram account had 1.8 million. Several years ago, he returned to Great Britain to care for his mother, who was suffering from cancer, and withdrew from internet activity.
