Film Crew Disruptions Set for Włochy District This Weekend

Drivers and public transit passengers in Warsaw’s Włochy district must prepare for road closures and bus route changes on Sunday, August 9, due to film production work.

Road Closures and Traffic Restrictions

On Sunday, August 9, drivers and public transport passengers must prepare for disruptions in Włochy as a film crew works in the area of Globusowa and Rejonowa streets, resulting in partial road closures and temporary traffic halts in the afternoon, alongside changes to bus lines 194 and 228.

The film crew will take over the roadway in the Globusowa street area on Sunday, keeping the roadway above the tunnel leading from Potrzebna street towards Globusowa inaccessible to drivers all day long.

Rejonowa street will also be closed on the section from Ciszewska to Globusowa, with an exception provided for residents who will be able to access their properties.

Afternoon Traffic Stoppages

The disruptions will not end there, as between 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM, filmmakers will also temporarily halt traffic on Globusowa towards the tunnel, past the intersection with Zdobnicza.

Short-term stops should also be expected at the intersection of Bolesława Chrobrego and Popularna streets, meaning that even on roads not completely closed, passage may be periodically hindered.

Public Transport Changes

Filming will additionally affect Warsaw Public Transport operations, routing buses of line 194 heading towards Cmentarza Wolskiego via Potrzebna and Wałowicka streets.

The route of bus line 228 towards Metro Wierzbno will also change, operating via Potrzebna street while the modifications are in effect.

Traffic organization changes linked to the shoot are planned for Sunday, August 9, with the most significant alterations in the area of Globusowa, Rejonowa, Zdobnicza, Popularna, and Bolesława Chrobrego expected between 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM.
