Weekly Fuel Price Projections
Analysts at e-petrol.pl forecast that retail prices next week for 95-octane petrol will reach 6.35-6.47 PLN/l, diesel will cost 7.29-7.42 PLN/l, and autogas will range from 2.88-2.96 PLN/l. Specifically, the e-petrol.pl forecast lists 6.35-6.47 PLN/l for E10 petrol.
Impact of Temporary VAT Reductions
Experts noted that drivers have reason to be pleased this week as fueling costs have dropped in recent days, with price cuts accelerating significantly from Monday due to a government-announced temporary VAT reduction on selected fuels. Wholesale fuel quotations rose steadily in line with global oil exchanges, meaning price cuts at stations would have been short-lived without the government’s protective shield package taking effect early next week.
Ministry Maximum Price Caps
The energy ministry published maximum prices effective from Monday, setting 95-octane unleaded petrol at 6.41 PLN/l, the 98-octane variant at 7.20 PLN/l, and diesel at 7.37 PLN/l.
Persian Gulf Supply Concerns
Experts emphasized that the CPN package does not introduce changes to excise duty, meaning entrepreneurs will not feel its impact, and relief for drivers may remain short-term given ongoing supply restrictions from the Persian Gulf region.
