Stable Weather and Regional Contrasts
A extensive high-pressure system will ensure stable weather in Poland during the second half of the week. The west will be the warmest region, while lower values will persist in the east and south, among other areas. Particularly large differences will appear between day and night, with morning temperatures dropping below 10 degrees Celsius in some places after warm afternoons.
Forecast for August 13
On Thursday, the western part of the country will find itself under a cloudless sky, while other regions will see few or moderate amounts of clouds. The highest values are expected in the west, where thermometers will show up to 27 degrees Celsius, whereas by the sea, in the Suwałki region, and in Podhale, the temperature will be around 20 degrees. In the center, about 23 degrees Celsius is forecasted, and the wind will generally be light, occasionally reaching greater strength in the southeast.
Nighttime Temperature Drops
During the night from Thursday to Friday, the sky will remain mostly cloudless with occasional minor cloud cover. The most noticeable aspect will be the drop in temperature, with thermometers showing 7 degrees Celsius in the Podkarpackie Carpathian foothill regions, and 8 degrees in the east and southeast. A milder night awaits residents of central Poland at around 11 degrees Celsius, while it will be even warmer near the Baltic Sea itself, reaching up to 15 degrees with a light wind.
Warmer Weather on August 14
The weather on August 14 will be even warmer with the sky remaining cloudless or with very few clouds. It will be hottest near the western border, where mercury columns may indicate 29 degrees Celsius, while about 26 degrees Celsius is forecasted for the center and north, and around 23 degrees in the south and east. The anticipated wind is light, occasionally reaching moderate strength only in the northern and western parts of the country.
Nighttime Variations Continue
The subsequent night will again show how large differences between individual regions can be, with thermometers indicating between 11 and 15 degrees Celsius over the prevailing area.
