Joanna Mucha, who left Poland 2050 in February, expressed regret over the party’s failure to fill the center-ground void in Polish politics. In a TVN24 interview on July 13, she stated that Szymon Hołownia disappointed her and that the party squandered its opportunity to represent a pro-reform movement.

Internal conflict and failed strategies

Mucha criticized Hołownia for an approach she described as “knowing better,” comparing him to other political figures who met similar fates. She argued that the party failed to understand that political growth relies on attraction rather than division, noting that the remnants of the project remain fractured.

Formation of the Union of the Center
