Kaczyński Calls for Calm as PiS Internal Tensions Mount

PiS leader Jarosław Kaczyński has issued a public appeal for party unity, urging members to cease internal disputes and focus on their political opponents as the deadline for dissolving internal associations approaches.

A Call for Restraint

In a Sunday post on X, Jarosław Kaczyński called for a moment of reflection among his party colleagues, urging them to cool their emotions. He warned that public disagreements only serve to benefit the party’s opponents and could jeopardize their future electoral success.

Kaczyński emphasized that while some factions within the party seem intent on division, others are committed to strengthening the organization. He stated that the party must unite to deliver a coherent plan for Poland’s recovery and future development.

Deadline for Party Associations

The party leadership has mandated that members exit associations engaged in political activity, such as Mateusz Morawiecki’s “Rozwój Plus” and Jacek Sasin’s “Po pierwsze Polska,” by Thursday, July 23. Failure to comply could result in expulsion from the party.

Kaczyński clarified that while the ban on these political groups remains, party members are still welcome to pursue internal, non-political initiatives if they demonstrate good will and end public infighting.

Morawiecki Advocates for Unity

Following a meeting with Kaczyński, former Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki stressed that his loyalty to the party has been proven through his actions. He argued that the diverse backgrounds and temperaments within the right-wing camp are a strength, not a weakness.

Morawiecki called for a “hands on deck” approach to unite all groups interested in a strong and ambitious Poland. He maintained that patriots must focus on building bridges rather than walls to ensure the party’s future success.
