Man Arrested by ‘Kobra’ Unit for Mercedes Theft and Burglary

Police from the specialized “Kobra” unit have apprehended a 42-year-old man who stole a Mercedes-Benz car key from a nightclub on Valentine’s Day before using it to take his partner for a drive.

The Crime and Investigation

Officers from the “Kobra” group investigated the burglary and theft of a Mercedes valued at 80,000 PLN. Although the vehicle was recovered shortly after the incident, identifying the perpetrator remained the primary focus for authorities.

The theft occurred during a Valentine’s Day event at a local nightclub. The suspect stole the car keys from a purse and subsequently drove the vehicle away with his partner.

Apprehension and Legal Proceedings

Following a targeted investigation, “Kobra” detectives tracked the suspect to a location in Grodzisk County and placed him under arrest. The 42-year-old man confessed to the crime.

The Automotive Crime Division has formally charged the suspect with burglary and theft. The case is currently being supervised by the District Prosecutor’s Office for Warsaw-Praga South.
