The Bezkres Foundation reported the disappearance of the activist on Tuesday. The 45-year-old woman, who has been assisting migrants at the Polish-Belarusian border for years, was last seen traveling to a store in Gródek before contact was lost.

Local police conducted an extensive search for the woman. Activists involved in the operation urged residents of the Podlasie region to keep a lookout for the woman and her vehicle, suggesting the car might have been left parked near forests or along roadsides.
