The District Court in Tarnowskie G贸ry has issued a non-final verdict of 18 months of imprisonment against Mamed Ch., a well-known mixed martial arts fighter, for receiving stolen luxury cars. As the ruling is not yet legally binding, both the defendant and the prosecution retain the right to appeal.
Charges and Criminal Context
Prosecutors linked Mamed Ch. to a broader criminal scheme operating between 2016 and 2017 involving the trade of stolen vehicles purchased in Poland and the Czech Republic. Beyond the trafficking charges, the athlete was accused of orchestrating the arson of two vehicles in Rybnik in 2017.
Assault and Broader Legal Proceedings
In addition to the vehicle-related crimes, Mamed Ch. faced allegations of assaulting and insulting police officers in Olsztyn during the autumn of 2018. When the indictment was filed in July 2021, he was one of 18 defendants charged with 140 separate criminal acts, including the circulation of counterfeit Euro banknotes.

Mamed Ch., 41, is a Grozny-born athlete who attained Polish citizenship in 2010. A decorated MMA fighter with titles in KSW and professional experience in the United States and Japan, he concluded his sports career in late 2018. Following his initial arrest in June 2019, the court denied a request by the prosecutor’s office to hold him in detention.
