Mokotów Police Arrest 39-Year-Old Over Garage Break-Ins and Drug Possession

Mokotów police have arrested a 39-year-old Ukrainian citizen facing four charges, including two garage burglaries, drug possession, and concealing documents belonging to other persons.

Arrest Following a Series of Property Crimes in Mokotów

The case began at the end of May when a garage on Samochodowa Street in Warsaw was broken into. The perpetrator removed a padlock and stole items including fishing gear, power tools, a car battery, and car speakers, with a total value of nearly 10,000 PLN.

Officers from the Property Crime Bureau analyzed evidence and identified a suspect, later spotting his vehicle in mid-July.

Stolen Perfume and Drugs Found During Search

During a search of the 39-year-old’s bag, officers found two bottles of perfume from another burglary committed a few days earlier on Pilicka Street, where tools, cosmetics, and perfume worth 2,650 PLN were stolen.

Police also seized cannabis resin, marijuana, MDMA, amphetamines, and documents issued in other people’s names.

Prosecutor Imposes Police Supervision and Travel Ban

The accumulated evidence led to four charges against the 39-year-old for burglaries, drug possession, and concealing foreign documents.

The Warsaw Mokotów District Prosecutor’s Office placed the suspect under police supervision, mandated reporting of address changes, and issued a travel ban along with passport retention under the ongoing supervision of the prosecutor’s office.
