Mokotów Police Dismantle Major Stolen Auto Parts Ring

Mokotów criminal investigators have arrested two men, aged 47 and 51, for fencing stolen vehicle parts, following a wide-ranging operation that uncovered components from cars stolen across Poland, Germany, and Belgium.

Operation and Arrests

Criminal and investigative units from the Mokotów district police arrested two suspects, aged 47 and 51, linked to a network trading in stolen auto parts. The operation, spanning the Greater Poland and Masovian voivodeships, led to the seizure of hundreds of components, electronic modules, cash, and documentation.

The 47-year-old suspect has been placed in temporary detention for three months, while the 51-year-old remains under mandatory police supervision. Both individuals face charges of fencing stolen property and, due to prior criminal records, face up to seven and a half years in prison.

International Stolen Goods Network

The investigation began in February following the theft of a Maserati valued at approximately 267,000 PLN. Police traced the dismantled vehicle’s components to the suspects, leading to a coordinated raid in Chrzanowo, where officers intercepted a delivery van loaded with high-value car parts, including braking systems, batteries, and electronic modules.

Subsequent searches of properties linked to the suspects revealed further stolen goods, including parts from Jeep and Dodge vehicles, alongside forged registration plates. Analysis confirmed that many of the seized electronic modules contained VIN numbers tied to vehicles reported stolen in Poland, Germany, and Belgium.
