Morawiecki Hosts “Rozwój Plus” Event Featuring Diverse Guests

Mateusz Morawiecki’s association, “Rozwój Plus,” is set to host a major event in Warsaw on July 31, defying recent internal party mandates issued by PiS leadership regarding membership in outside organizations.

The Internal PiS Conflict

The “Rozwój Plus” conference follows a July 15 directive from PiS leadership requiring party members to resign from external associations under threat of expulsion. The deadline for compliance is Wednesday, July 22.

In a letter to Jarosław Kaczyński, 45 parliamentarians and MEPs associated with Morawiecki argued that their group aims to unify PiS and reconnect with alienated voter demographics.

Differing Perspectives on the Association

While some in the PiS leadership view the association as a rival faction, Morawiecki and his supporters maintain that the movement is designed to strengthen the party.

PiS MP Krzysztof Szczucki stated that the event is intended to promote a “big tent” party platform, though he noted that not all colleague proposals should be included in the final program.

Event Schedule and “Rozwój Plus” Agenda

The event begins at 12:05 PM with a keynote speech by Mateusz Morawiecki, utilizing a main stage, a conversation stage, and an activity zone.

The schedule features an afternoon barbecue from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, followed by evening discussions on the state of Poland, which are slated to continue until midnight.
