Resignation and Launch of Rozw贸j Plus
Mateusz Morawiecki resigned as chairman of the European Conservatives and Reformists, to which PiS belongs. MEP Piotr M眉ller reported that the decision is linked to his “exclusion from Law and Justice,” as the party demanded Morawiecki resign from the Rozw贸j Plus association. The politician refused and on Tuesday presented the main assumptions of his initiative.

Patriotism and Respect for the President
Morawiecki proposed in the first point that patriotism become the “compass” of every decision. Every economic, social, and international decision will be made guided by Poland’s interest and the values of Poles, rather than ideology or foreign capitals, the former prime minister announced.
The second pillar is respect for the president. President Karol Nawrocki is the only statesman in Poland with such strong popular will behind him, serving as the most important institutional counterweight to a weak government, Morawiecki wrote.
Security and Opposition to the Migration Pact
The third rule concerns Poland’s security. A numerous and well-equipped army, cooperation within the Intermarium, and a strong NATO alliance鈥攊ncluding permanent US bases in Poland鈥攁re the foundation of security and must be the number one goal of Polish foreign policy in the near future, the politician emphasized.
Another proposal addresses opposition to the migration pact. Individuals who are not Polish citizens and grossly violate Polish law should lose their residence rights and be subject to effective expulsion from the country, as Polish security must always come first, Morawiecki wrote.
Tax System and Nuclear Energy
The politician also wants to seal the tax system. The outflow of profits and taxes outside Poland must be effectively limited, and the funds obtained should allow for a significant increase in the second tax threshold and better conditions for Polish entrepreneurs, the former prime minister stated.
One of the pillars of Rozw贸j Plus is accelerating the construction of Polish nuclear energy. Poland needs stable, modern, and cheap energy, making the construction of large nuclear power plants and the development of small modular reactors a true state priority, the politician assessed.
Climate Policy and Economic Projects
Morawiecki opposes the European Union’s climate policy in his program. ETS, ETS2, the Green Deal, and other solutions hitting industry, agriculture, and citizens’ wallets must disappear, as Europe must be competitive and innovative with cheap energy as its foundation, he wrote.
The politician wants Poland to return to ambitious projects building a modern economy and strengthening independence. The growth drivers should include the CPK, railway development, energy, ports, the defense industry, Izera, and investments in new technologies.
Digitalization and Government Change
The ninth proposal is “Poland in a smartphone.” Morawiecki wrote that the country must return to a leading position in digitization and new technologies in the service of citizens, creating a convenient, fully transparent state accessible in every commune.
The final point assumes removing the current government from power. It is not about personal ambition, but about the victory and removal of a team that is a burden to Poland, with the prime minister being someone entrusted by Poles with rebuilding the state, the politician stated.
