The End of Pharmacy Loyalty for Annual Prescriptions

Anyone who has ever filled an annual e-prescription knows the problem: you buy the first pack of medication at a pharmacy close to home, and for the next ones, you must return to the exact same place. This applies regardless of whether you went on vacation, changed your place of residence, or your local pharmacy simply ran out of the necessary preparation. Fortunately, this burdensome obligation is now a thing of the past.

The e-Health Centre has implemented a long-awaited functionality that has completely transformed the process of purchasing medicines. Patients have gained full freedom, as every e-prescription can now be continued and completed at any pharmacy across the entire country.

What Has Changed in the System

Until now, the rules were strict: starting the fulfillment of an e-prescription for a larger number of packages in a specific facility meant being assigned to it for the remaining medicines of that position. This mainly concerned prescriptions issued for a longer period, such as popular annual prescriptions.

The new solution has abolished this monopoly. Today, every subsequent package of medication from a given prescription can be easily collected at a different pharmacy, provided that both facilities use the new e-health system. The pharmacist in the second pharmacy can easily see the history of the previous fulfillment in the system and dispense the next prescribed packages.
