Core inflation, which excludes food and energy prices, rose to 3.1 percent year-on-year in May 2026, compared to 3.0 percent in the previous month. This figure met the market consensus of 3.1 percent.
Alternative Inflation Indicators
The National Bank of Poland reported that core inflation excluding state-administered prices stood at 2.8 percent, down from 2.9 percent in the prior month. Meanwhile, core inflation excluding the most volatile prices reached 3.3 percent, up from 3.0 percent.
