Obajtek Quits Morawiecki’s Association After Kaczyński Meeting

Daniel Obajtek has officially resigned from Mateusz Morawiecki’s “Rozwój Plus” association following a meeting with Jarosław Kaczyński, as PiS leadership enforces a strict deadline for members to abandon external political groups.

Obajtek’s Departure and Party Pressure

PiS spokesperson Rafał Bochenek confirmed on Tuesday, July 21, that Daniel Obajtek has resigned from the “Rozwój Plus” association. The move followed a private meeting between Obajtek and party leader Jarosław Kaczyński.

Bochenek stressed that unity remains paramount under Kaczyński. He characterized any activities outside or parallel to the party structure, specifically naming the “Rozwój Plus” association, as divisive and counter to the leadership’s directives.

Internal Calls for Party Unity

Daniel Obajtek and MP Anita Czerwińska were among more than 40 PiS politicians who signed a letter addressed to Jarosław Kaczyński. The signatories argued that the future of their political community depends on acting together and maintaining the values of the right-wing camp.

The authors of the letter declared their goal is the unity of Law and Justice, claiming it is necessary to unseat the current government. They also emphasized the need to regain the trust of voters who have drifted away from the party in recent years.

Ultimatum for Morawiecki’s Associates

The Law and Justice leadership has adopted a resolution requiring all members involved in political associations to resign from those organizations by July 23 or face expulsion from the party.

Mateusz Morawiecki, who founded “Rozwój Plus,” has publicly stated his intention to remain within PiS while continuing to develop his association, creating an ongoing tension between his objectives and the party’s mandate.
