Prosecutors in Kłodzko have launched an official investigation into online death threats directed at Prime Minister Donald Tusk, following a police raid that yielded electronic devices and ammunition.

The District Prosecutor’s Office in Kłodzko has initiated an investigation regarding death threats made against Prime Minister Donald Tusk. The threats were posted in internet comments by an unidentified perpetrator whose identity remains unknown.

Police Raid and Seizure of Evidence

The online comments contained insults and threats directed at the prime minister, as confirmed by Prosecutor Małgorzata Czajkowska of the District Prosecutor’s Office in Świdnica on Tuesday. Police officers traced the IP address from which the messages were sent and searched an apartment, securing electronic equipment and other items, including a gun magazine with three parabellum rounds.

Suspect Identification and Potential Penalties

Prosecutor Czajkowska stated that while a suspect is currently being targeted, authorities do not yet have absolute certainty regarding who exactly posted the content online. The perpetrator faces up to two years in prison for making criminal threats and insulting a constitutional organ of the Republic of Poland, with an additional sentence of six months to eight years possible if ballistic analysis confirms unauthorized possession of ammunition.
