Over 350 Fire Service Interventions Following Mazovia Storm Front

Intense storms across the Masovian Voivodeship have triggered over 350 emergency interventions, causing significant structural damage to residential and farm buildings, including a local Volunteer Fire Department station in the Łosice district.

Damage Assessment and Response

The Łosice district faced the most severe conditions, with extensive damage reported to residential homes and farm structures. Alicja Cichoń, head of the Siedlce delegation of the Masovian Voivodeship Office, was dispatched to the site to coordinate with the State Fire Service and local authorities to assess the destruction and organize relief.

Emergency Equipment Utilization

Response efforts utilized specialized equipment acquired through the Civil Defense and Population Protection Program. Local municipalities deployed power generators, tarpaulins, saws, power tools, and tractors equipped with front loaders to clear fallen tree limbs and secure compromised infrastructure.

Support for Affected Residents

The rapid mobilization of State and Volunteer Fire Service personnel proved critical in mitigating the disaster’s immediate impact. Residents whose homes or properties were damaged by the storm are advised to file reports and apply for financial assistance through their local Social Welfare Centers.
