Overtaking Maneuver Leads to Near-Fatal Collision in Parzniew

A collision involving two cars and a motorcycle occurred near Warsaw today, July 3, after an Opel driver crossed into oncoming traffic while attempting to pass another vehicle in Parzniew.

Collision details and sequence of events

The accident occurred before 1:00 PM on Rzeczna Street in Parzniew, involving a BMW, an Opel, and a Suzuki motorcycle. A 73-year-old woman driving an Opel attempted to overtake a BMW driven by a 56-year-old woman, both traveling toward Brwinów.

During the maneuver, the Opel entered the lane designated for oncoming traffic. A 49-year-old motorcyclist approaching from the opposite direction was forced to brake sharply, causing his bike to slide and strike the BMW before coming to a stop off the roadway.

Outcome and legal consequences

Remarkably, the motorcyclist escaped the incident without injury. Emergency medical teams and police arrived at the scene to find all parties involved sober.

Investigations revealed that the 49-year-old motorcyclist lacked the required license to operate his vehicle. The driver of the Opel was issued a fine for causing the traffic incident, while the motorcyclist faces further legal action for driving without authorization.
