Physician Faces Permanent Disbarment Following Discovery of Human Remains

The Supreme Medical Chamber has launched disciplinary proceedings against 57-year-old pathologist Magdalena H., who is currently under three-month arrest for the illegal dumping of medical waste and desecration of human remains.

The Supreme Medical Chamber is investigating the conduct of Magdalena H., a pathologist and member of the Rzeszów Medical Chamber, following her arrest. Potential sanctions range from a formal warning to a permanent revocation of her medical license.

Jakub Kosikowski, spokesperson for the Chamber, confirmed that disciplinary proceedings are moving forward in parallel with the ongoing criminal investigation. If a common court issues a ban on practicing medicine, the medical board’s proceedings will be suspended.

Criminal investigation in Lutoryż

The investigation began after human fetal remains and significant quantities of medical waste—primarily paraffin blocks and microscope slides—were unearthed during excavation work at a property in Lutoryż, near Rzeszów. Police believe these materials were buried while the suspect resided at the location.

Prosecutor Krzysztof Ciechanowski stated that while multiple theories are being analyzed, there is currently no evidence linking the suspect to illegal abortions. Magdalena H. has no prior criminal record but faces up to 12 years in prison for the current charges.
