Poland Delivers 1.55 Billion PLN in Military Aid to Ukraine

Since the beginning of 2024, Poland has provided 1.55 billion PLN in military support to Ukraine, including PAC-3 Patriot missiles, as confirmed by Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz.

Breakdown of Military Deliveries

Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz announced that the 1.55 billion PLN in aid represents approximately 9.4 percent of Poland’s total historical donations to Ukraine. The equipment sent since the start of 2024 includes PAC-3 missiles for the Patriot air defense system, Scan Eagle drones, various missiles, aerial bombs, anti-tank guided missiles, and grenade launcher munitions.

The supply list further encompasses spare parts and equipment for aircraft, armored vehicles, and air defense systems like the NEWA, as well as tank, artillery, and mortar ammunition, and individual soldier gear.

Decision-Making and Strategic Commitments

The Minister emphasized that all donation decisions are based on rigorous analysis by the General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces, stating that no equipment is transferred without prior consultation with military personnel. These contributions are frequently tied to broader allied obligations, as Poland is a key participant in the Ukraine Defense Contact Group (UDCG).

Poland serves as the chair of the coalition’s armored capabilities group, having acted as a major donor of tanks and armored vehicles. This ongoing support for Ukraine is explicitly framed as part of Poland’s broader NATO commitments.
