Poland Proposes Trilateral Production of Patriot Missiles with US and Ukraine

Polish Deputy Minister of National Defence Magdalena Sobkowiak-Czarnecka announced in Washington that Poland has proposed to the United States the joint production of Patriot missile system components with the participation of Ukraine. She emphasized that the goal is to locate production in a secure place.

The Deputy Head of the MON met with her counterparts at the Pentagon and the US Department of State. During a media briefing, she conveyed that one of the topics raised was the production of missiles for Patriot air defense systems.

Trilateral Cooperation for Security

Sobkowiak-Czarnecka stated that discussions touched upon points raised by President Donald Trump during the summit in Ankara regarding his declaration to consider establishing a Patriot manufacturing facility on Ukrainian territory.

She added that the Polish offer addresses certain American concerns by proposing trilateral cooperation involving the United States, Ukraine, and Poland to secure manufacturing in a safe location.

Global Demand and Next Steps

The deputy minister stated that this is a product needed globally, prompting Poland’s offer to participate in such co-production.

She added that talks on this matter will now take place between the United States, Ukraine, and Poland.
