Poland’s 2026 Tourism Voucher: Up to 600 PLN for Seniors and Large Families

Starting in September 2026, Polish seniors over 60 and Large Family Card holders can receive between 300 and 600 PLN in tourism subsidies for domestic stays of at least two nights.

Eligibility and Program Scope

The program supports two primary groups: seniors aged 60 and older, who only need to submit a declaration of their age, and holders of a valid Large Family Card (KDR). Each eligible person may use the voucher only once during the program’s duration.

The subsidy is provided as a non-cash credit for hotel services, ranging from 300 to 600 PLN. It cannot be exchanged for cash, and beneficiaries must use the voucher for a minimum stay of two nights in participating establishments.

Key Deadlines and Activation

The program runs in three stages from September to November 2026. Beneficiaries should not generate their vouchers until they have confirmed a specific travel reservation, as the voucher expires seven days after generation. All vouchers must be utilized by November 30, 2026.

How to Claim and Use the Voucher

To participate, users must verify their eligibility through a dedicated government system or mobile application. Once the unique electronic code is generated, the beneficiary must contact a participating hotel directly to secure a booking of at least two nights. The code is personal and cannot be transferred to other individuals.

Strategic Objectives of the Subsidy

The government has introduced this initiative to revitalize domestic tourism, specifically targeting regions impacted by the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, such as the eastern border provinces. The program aims to support local hospitality businesses while providing financial relief for leisure activities to seniors and large families.

Common Pitfalls to Avoid

To ensure the subsidy is successfully applied, travelers must verify that their chosen accommodation is an official participant in the program. Furthermore, participants must carry a valid Large Family Card during their stay, as hotels will verify eligibility upon check-in. Vouchers are strictly non-transferable and subject to automatic expiration if not used within the seven-day window.
